The world is full of bloggers and blogs, right? I am delighted that you have chosen to read mine as well. I do not claim to be an expert writer by any means, and I will make mistakes. I am not perfect. So now that bubble is burst right? ;)
In 2009, I started reading some blogs for fun and came across a "Freebie" one. It was really amazing because that year we had, had our second child and I had officially become a stay at home mom. We live in New Jersey, and I had no idea how we were going to manage to keep up with expenses on just one salary. I felt led to be home with my kids as long as I could be. I also started to coupon. It was really exciting to see how a little preparation could pay off each week at the cash register. One day I logged on to the Freebie blog and saw something about sweepstakes. I had never entered a sweepstake in my entire life. I had never won anything and thought it was something that only happened for other people. I entered one of the sweeps, and won a candy bar. It was very exciting for me. And that is how I was drawn in.
In 2011, I was still entering sweepstakes or "sweeps" for coupons or for small products. Definitely nothing big, but as I have always said "every little bit always helps". Anyway, one of the sweeps led me to twitter. I knew nothing about twitter. I tried so hard to figure it out, and had a massive headache. Someone had told me that twitter parties were amazing and had great odds of winning, so I jumped in with both feet. I was terrible at first, but after getting the hang of things, I eventually starting winning. Never anything huge but some gift cards, electronics, food items, toys, and things for the family. I had continued to do this off and on for years. It really helped our family in some tight times for sure.
All along though I loved making new connections and admired different bloggers I "met" a long the way. I even saw some of my "twitter party friends" become great bloggers. Everyone kept encouraging me to start my own. I did try one a few years ago, but I kept forgetting to post. It really wasn't anything special.
So here I am today February 8th, 2014, and I am so excited about this new endeavor. I would love to connect with you here and here about the ways that you save money or really stretch a dollar. Is it through sweepstakes? Couponing? Hopefully I can even offer you some of the money saving tips that I have found a long the years. Please feel free to comment. Love making connections.
